The ZKTeco ZK-D100S is a portable, rechargeable hand-held metal detector designed to enhance security screening and prevent contraband theft or unauthorized equipment usage. Operating on a standard 9V battery with an optional Ni-MH battery and DC charge cable, it takes 4 to 6 hours to fully charge. The device offers flexible alarm modes—combining light alerts simultaneously with either sound (measuring $\ge75\text{dB(A)}$) or vibration—and features a low-sensitivity toggle to filter out minor metallic items and alert users only to larger metal objects. Physically, it measures $410\text{ (L)} \times 85\text{ (W)} \times 45\text{ (H) mm}$, operates at an IP31 waterproof level and a frequency of $25\text{ kHz}$, and draws less than $50\text{mA}$ during operation.
